I had some wonderful conversations with my cousin Harold and he shared great ideas and wisdom for life. One such idea for parenting was that children love if they can make you laugh. I saw this in action as he played with my own children. I miss his hearty laugh and sparkling eyes. I admired his capability. He was a deep thinker and full of life. Rest in peace dear cousin.

Mr. Jonasson was my principal at Valleyview school in the late 70's. He had style and swagger :)
I remember his tinted glasses, him wearing a track suit coming into the classrooms with a ghetto blaster to lead students thru impromptu exercise sessions set to disco. Or him capering about the gymnasium with our smaller gym teacher on his shoulders so he could dunk a basketball. Fond memories for me; a very fun principal. My condolences to his family.

The Marshall family sends their condolences to Harold's family. He was the principal at Meadows School in Brandon when our sons Kyle and Ben attended school in the 1980s. Harold was a great ambassador for the children. He was enjoyable to work with when I was on the parent committee for a few years. His smile came easy and he had a perfect personality for his job.
Our son Kyle remembers as we do when Harold would invite Kyle into his office to play chess and backgammon.

My father, Harold was a man of incredible integrity, love, humor, intelligence, and support and I am fortunate to have known him for 57 years. Dad was an awesome educator and school administrator and I learned so much from him. He also supported my learning journey as a drummer from when I was 12 years old. He always supported “band practices” at our family home at 68 Elmdale in Brandon. I love you Dad and will always miss you.
