Aunt Muggie was my Godmother and although I hadn't seen her in many years I have very fond memories of her from when I was a child. My heart goes out to the rest of the family and she will be greatly missed.

To the Bicknell family - Frank and I are so sorry to say that we cannot be at the Prayers or the funeral of your dear Marguerite. We came to Thompson to babysit for a few days and little Andrew (age13 months) ended up with Asthma and had to be hospitalized. He is home now and doing better but we still need to help out until he can return to Day Care. I have let Mitzi in California know of your loss and will let the others know when I can get my email addresses. Again our sympathies to your family - from Frankie and Linda Seitz

My Uncle Pat O'Sullivan told me of the death of Marguerite. I saw her a few days ago and I am thankful that God relieved her of her suffering. I pray that you will all find comfort knowing that she suffered her purgatory here on earth and I am sure she was welcomed with open arms into heaven.
Vivianne and Ken, thank you for inviting Uncle Pat to join with you when Marguerite was given the Sacrament of the Sick last week. He was very, very touched. It meant so much to him. He told me that many years ago when he went to the Brandon General with an appendix attack he was certain that his time on earth had come. He was in pain, but even more stressful, he was terrified. He said Marguerite came into the emergency room and held his hand. Immediately he was calmed and he knew everything would be OK because she was there. As he looked around the ER, and later when he was on the ward, he saw the awe and respect all of the staff had for Marguerite.
My Aunt Rita had a heart-warming story of Marguerite. Many decades ago my Grandmother Marie-Louise Poirier O'Sullivan was in the Brandon General. She had an operation and all she wanted was to return to the comfort of her own home. The doctor said she could not go home as her dressing had to be changed daily. Marguerite, without hesitation, volunteered to go to Percy Street to look after Grandma. Thanks to Marguerite, my Grandma was able to go home where she recuperated in so much more comfort.
My parents were also eternally grateful to Marguerite. My Mother had a miscarriage and nearly lost her own life as well. Marguerite was in the OR. When they had Mom stabilized, Marguerite went to comfort my Dad. She told him she had Baptized the baby. I am sure you understand how much this meant to my family.
These are but three small stories of how Marguerite dramatically had a positive effect on people's lives, I can only imagine how many others she touched in her life. I thank God for the honour of having known Marguerite.
Uncle Pat has requested a Mass be said at St. Augustine's. You are all in our thoughts and prayers as you celebrate the life of such a wonderful woman.

Our sincere condolences to the entire Bicknell and James families. I have fond memories of Marguerite, and visits to Chris' home while we were growing up and attending school at St. Augustine's. We were fortunate to have such great women helping to raise us all over the years. Her reward will undoubtedly be great in heaven. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
