Hi Belle, so sorry to read of Wayne's passing in the Dauphin paper. From reading all the comments your friends have made, Wayne will be greatly missed. You and I worked together before you were married - telephone operators. Then you married and I lost contact when you moved away. I have never forgotten you and am so sorry for your loss. - June (McMillan) McDougall, Dauphin

Belle, Dan, Guy and families, I am so sorry to hear of Wayne's passing, I remember him as a kind man. I always enjoyed a visit with him, my best story was him giving Guy and myself heck with our October Birthdays for not renewing our drivers license in time! My thoughts are with you on this difficult day.

Dear Belle, Guy and Family,
Ed and I were so sorry to hear of Wayne's passing. So many memories come flooding back when we think of Wayne. A tremendous ambassador of sport he believed it was "all about the kids". Ed says "he kept me in line" referring to his days behind the bench. No matter what your age, a conversation with Wayne made you want to say, "thanks Dad". He took care of all of us like family. There is a wonderful legacy here and we are forever grateful.

Belle, we are so sorry to hear of Wayne's premature passing; it is obvious there was a greater need elsewhere for one of the best organizers and real human beings I ever met. From our first days in Brandon in 1983, Candace and I and our son Darcy shared the pleasure of many hours in endless arenas and on hockey trips with Guy, Belle and Wayne, as Darcy and Guy played together on teams that Wayne so capably managed. When we succeeded in landing the Canada Summer Games, I knew instantly who we wanted as our VP of Sport....it was Wayne. We appointed Dick Scott as President and Wayne as VP, turned them loose and everyone in Western Manitoba knows that together with a phenomenal team they assembled, they staged truly "the best games ever" to that stage of history.
We are privileged to have shared a portion of our lives with such a true gentleman!!!!!

Belle and Family....
Very sorry to hear of your loss, I know what you are going through at this time. I first met Wayne in the early 70's when we worked together on the building of the Westridge Community Centre which was followed by many years of association in various sporting activities. I can tell you that Wayne was one of the most liked and respected people with an uncanny ability to successfully organize and direct any event he was connected with. He will long be remembered for all that he did in Brandon.
With much sympathy

Wayne was my Director of Sport for the very successful 1997 Jeux du Canada Games hosted in Brandon. We worked closely together from 1994-1997 and he still guided me through many life decisions after that. He was a wonderful, caring man, who taught me many things, including a work-ethic that I continue to use every day. His calm and gentle ways of getting things done were respected by all of us. Hugs, Belle. You were a great man, Wayne Robertson!

Was so sorry to hear about Wayne. I had the pleasure of having Wayne as my boss as we worked on the I.L.S. Program. He was a great boss to the crew always there for us. Have many great memories both on the job and the get togethers we did. He was respected by many he worked with over the years. he will be missed by many as he also gave so much of his time to minor hockey and also volunteered his time at summer fair. I will be away on Saturday but my thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
