Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. We always enjoyed our visits with Orval both in St. Albert and Victoria. He warmed to people so easily and was able to lighten one's load with his empathy and remarkable sense of humour. He has left big (dancing!!!) shoes to fill. His was a life well lived and we feel blessed to have shared a small part of it.

Orval will be such a big loss to the whole Kreller family, no matter what generation. He was a great Dad, Grampa and friend. We loved it when Orval dropped by our cottage at Clear Lake. He always had an interesting story to tell, had a keen sense of humour, and was always, always a gentleman. Our grandkids have been so fortunate to have him as their GreatGrampa. Our deepest sympathy to Wayne, Doug, Glen, Brad and all of the extended family. Don and Carol Hawking (North Fort Myers, Florida)

Mr. Kreller brought a small piece of history to my daughter Candace who was taking her practicum training at Fairview (very shortly after he moved in there). She called to tell us of this new resident who loved to dance and when she told us his name we realized that he was a dear friend of my Grandparents Dave & Theresa Bianco. She went back the next day and asked him if he knew them and that began a long walk down memory lane for him and an instant friendship for my daughter. As my Grandmother passed long before Candace was born all I had to offer her was memories and pictures. Grandpa passed when Candace was a teenager so she knew him well and we visited him often, however she never knew their friends from Brandon. She spent a lot of time at the home with Mr. Kreller listening to stories of him and my grandparents, stories and time she will treasure dearly. When her practicum was over she said she felt as though she left a part of the family behind there. He told her how delighted he was to have her there to tell his stories to and share his memories with, she said he always greeted her with a big smile and asked her to stop in before she left each day she was there...he could not believe she was Dave & Theresa's Great Granddaughter and she was so greatful for the memories he gave her. Rest in Peace Mr. Kreller and thank you for the time you spent with my daughter, you gave her a rare glimpse into the life of her great grandparents that only you could have given her! To your family, we are so sorry for your loss, Mr. Kreller will be missed by the many lives he touched including my parents Allan & Doreen Dodd.

Dear Glen, Wayne, Doug and Brad,
I was so saddened to hear from Glen last evening, kindly letting me know your Dad had passed from this earthly home. I know he will leave you all with a hole in your hearts and that you will miss him, but my, what a life he lived. He was so proud of his "boys", and kept me up to date on all of you.
My relationship with Orval was due to the time he and your Mom spent with my parents during the war years, before I was even born! We shared a love of horses and he loved to spend time around them while visiting.
We never did square dance together but he would speak fondly of his friends and that it was a pleasure to watch Wayne dancing.
Until the last two weeks we talked on the phone regularly, always ending with an "I love you" to each other.
I will miss you Orval and dance, dance, wherever you may be, in your great white hat.
I love you dear friend. Sharon
