So sorry to hear of your recent loss. I was in BC on holidays at the time of her passing. I have some very fond memories of your loved one, here at Hobbs Manor. Such a trooper, never complaining in spite of her daily struggles with her ongoing pain. She never stopped talking about her family, you all meant so much to her. Treasure those memories and please know that I have you all in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. Fond regards, Shirley Durnin

A few words and memories to share about my mom.
First I would like to say, Mom you will always be with me, as I know I
am with you.
I remember my mom saying to me once, that if everyone could leave the world
a little better than the way they found it.What a wonderfull world it would be.
Well mom you certenly did that. You worked and lived to serve others.
The second saying , is a saying that she leaves all her kids , with a smile ,a saying we all heard plenty of times. The saying ( GULL DARN YOUR HIDE ) . We all Thankyou
for that laugh. And we all still wonder , where the hell that came from. Ha HA
Since I could not make it , for the funeral I hope you know, that in mind spirit and soul,
I was there. Now once again I say so-long, because saying good-by seems so wroung,
Love you deerly, your daughter Patricia.

i have so many wonderful memories of my Grandma.the one that still makes me laugh,is when i was 18 and living in Brandon going to college,i lived about 3 blocks away from my grandparents. one day my Grandma came over to my app't and wanted to show me that she found a quicker route to her place, which involved her having to shovel some snow, and trim some branches just so i could get there in maybe 5 min instead of 10 min. i miss her so so much and will always treasure our time together! love you grandma, your in my heart forever! love Tracy

This is a story showing how Agnes always put her children first. Agnes and two of her daughters went on a Alaska cruise. On one of the port stops the girls were going to make a phone call, just a little ways from the ship. (Agnes was in a wheel chair). When the girls turned around to look at her they seen that she was a block ahead - just hand wheeling herself - just a going. She did not want them to push her as she felt it might be too much for them. And the girls starting yelling "Mom, Mom, wait, wait" but she just kept on going. Finally a gentleman grabbed her wheelchair and said with a pointed finger at her - "Madam, you wait for your daughters". (so even though she was very crippled with arthritis she was still thinking only of them.)

Jim, Dale and Family, sorry to read that your Mom/Grandma passed away.
She was such a happy and kind lady. Used to enjoy my visits with her and catching up on your happenings too.
All those special memories of our loved ones are what keep us going and especially in the fist few months they are gone.
Sincerely,
Karen Hulbert (nee Lowe)
