Celebration of Sean's Life
Obituary of Sean Page
It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Sean Barry Page on September 20, 2024.
Born in Winnipeg, MB, December 16, 1970, to Mary Jane Alyward (nee Wiebe), who married Raymond Page in June of 1977, Sean grew up enjoying judo and visits to his grandparents' home in Brandon, MB.
Sean began his career in the Canadian Navy in October of 1991. While the Navy took him all around the world, his postings included Esquimalt, BC, Aldergrove, BC, and (for a brief, reluctant stint) Saskatoon, SK. He served until age 41 at the rank of Master Seaman.
In response to Mary's death and Raymond's stroke, Sean selflessly retired from the military and left his much loved Victoria, BC to stay with his father in Brandon, MB. They both persevered as their relationship strengthened through a period of adjustment.
Sean had a great sense of humour and a willingness to help beyond what most people are able to offer. His selflessness is admirable and he will be missed.
A lunch and gathering of friends and family will be held at noon on Saturday, October 19 at the Riverbank Discovery Centre. Tribute Wall messages will be read to those in attendance.
