Dear Ray, Cindy, Becky, Kristi and family, We were neighbors of Isabelle. Patti-Jo was 4 years old and Isabelle would invite her over to visit while Isabelle did her gardening. And as you guessed Patti-Jo would talk her ear off!!! But Isabelle had a heart of gold, she would enjoy the visit and so did Patti-Jo!! That fall Patti-Jo joined Isabelle in her grade one class. What a great start to schooling !! Your mom had unbelievable patience with all those kids. She was a great lady, and we know how much you all will miss her. Our sympathies to you all Sincerely John and Fran and family

I met and worked with Isabelle in the early 70’s at David Livingstone School in North End Brandon.
She had a great sense of humour and despite being small in stature, it was very clear who was in charge in the classroom. We had some great visits in the staff room back then.
Fast forward quite a few years and I reconnected with Isabelle when she was a resident at Victoria Landing and I was there playing music. I walked up to her, prepared to explain who I was, but was greeted
with, "well Bill"! We had a few visits while she was there and I had some opportunities to say hi to her when she moved to Rideau Park. Today, I offer my condolences to Isabelle’s family - in recognition of a "full life lived" by a gracious lady, but also recognizing the loss they must surely feel as well.
Sincerely
Bill Turner

Quite a lady indeed! Mrs. Brownlee was my 1st grade teacher at David Livingstone School almost 50 years ago! I remember her leaning out of her 2nd storey, playground facing classroom window to yell at us Melnyk brothers that "Recess was over and it was time to come inside!".
Who could've imagined we would re-unite some 30 years later when we began working with Ray at the Century 21 office. She still remembered the two brothers that used to fight below her classroom window!
Ray, Cindy, Kristi, Becky and Families...what a long and wonderful life she had! You were blessed to have Gramma B for all those years! Hold the memories tight and she always be there.
Thinking of you all at this difficult time.
Tim & Colleen Melnyk
