Psalm 116:15
Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.
On Dec. 25, 2022, Katrina kindly shared a "Merry Christmas" greeting and a photo of her Dad, Iner Scherbatiuk, while he was sitting and enjoying some Christmas baking in Brandon, Manitoba. It was good to hear from Katrina and Iner, and see Iner's smiling face again!
When Iner lived in the town of Wadena, Saskatchewan, he rejoiced and gave thanks to God the heavenly Father that he was saved and born again of the Holy Spirit through faith in Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Saviour, Prophet, Priest and King.
Iner shared that God had given him the particular spiritual gift of exhortation. He demonstrated boldness, strength and courage in expressing his Christian faith with other people.
Iner was a man of prayer. He had a prayer list on the door of his refrigerator as a reminder to pray for people in Christian ministry.
Iner spoke at least two languages. He was outspoken in declaring "Christ is risen" and saying "thank you" in both a Ukrainian dialect and Canadian English.
Iner exhibited the two greatest commandments: to love God and love thy neighbour as thyself. He was a loving, cheerful, encouraging, kind and modest man.
Iner will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him.

Iner was a lovely, religious soul. It was always great to have a chat downtown in Wadena, or functions in Hendon/Fosston. I will miss his 'God bless you'. Rest in peace.
