Ernie Bruneau

Ernie passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the Assiniboine Center in Brandon, MB on May 31, 2023 at the age of 72. Ernie will be lovingly remembered by his wife Kathy, brother Gerry and all his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Ernie was born in Winnipeg and spent most of his life in Brandon where he worked and retired from the city of Brandon. Ernie was involved in numerous organizations in Brandon which had him on the board of Directors with the provincial exhibition, Westman Child and Family services, and the Foster Family Network. Ernie was also heavily involved in the Brandon car club.

Ernie enjoyed numerous activities in life with some of his true loves being playing music in the band, playing music for family functions, being involved in the car club and working on his cars. He also had a great love for Fishing, snowmobiling, quadding and traveling with family.

Ernie is predeceased by his parents Albert and Lucienne along with his brother Mark.

A celebration of Ernie’s life will be held at McDiarmid Alliance Church, 635 McDiarmid Drive, Brandon, MB on Monday June 5, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ernie’s name may be made to the Benevolent Fund at McDiarmid Drive Alliance Church.
