Diane Grace Garlick

August 30, 1948 – April 13, 2023

Diane Grace (nee Taylor) passed away suddenly at Brandon Regional Health Centre on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at the age of 74 years. Diane was born and raised in Brantford Ontario on August 30, 1948. Diane followed a friend out to Shoal Lake, Manitoba, it was there she met the love of her life Cyril.  The two married on September 17, 1966. Diane worked at the local grocery store in Shoal Lake for many years, while working there she impacted the lives of the younger generation within the community. Diane had a kind heart, pleasant nature and was known for her beautiful smile.  The love Diane and Cyril had could conquer just about anything, they handled everything in stride, and had each other to lean on through thick and thin. Diane had a love of reading, crocheting, chocolate, Winnipeg Jets and especially The Young and the Restless. Diane and her grandchildren had a special bond and created many special memories. Diane will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Cyril Garlick; children, Debbie (Daryl) McCharles, Jim (Lora) Garlick; grandchildren, Chad (Dawn) McCharles, Sarah (Dan) Ferguson, Jessica (Mike) Jury, DJ (Sydney) McCharles, and Liam (Maddy) Garlick; along with 7 great-grandchildren, Jacob, Amy, Bowie, Berkley, Tryss, Lawsyn, and Blayke. Siblings Tom (Janice) Taylor, Doug (Cindy) Taylor, Jim (Marilyn) Taylor, Shirley (John) Murray, and Barb Brown. Brother in law Glen (Cheryl) Garlick, and numerous nieces and nephews. Diane is predeceased by her Mom and Dad Gladys and Cyril Taylor, Mother and Father in law Olive and Roy Garlick. Diane is now free of pain and resting in peace, we will treasure her memory and love her forever. A private family Celebration of Life has taken place. Donations in memory of Diane may be made to a charity of choice.
