I Am Free
Don't grieve for me
For now I'm free
I'm following the path
God has laid you see
I took his hand
When I heard his call
I turned my back and left it all
I could not stay another day
To laugh, to love, to work or play
Tasks left undone must stay that way
I found the peace at the close of the day
If my parting has left a void
then fill it with remembered joys
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss
Oh yes these things I too will miss
Be not burdened with times of sorrow
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow
My life been full, I savoured much
Good friends, good times, a loved ones touch
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief
Lift up your hearts and peace to thee
God wanted me now, He set me free!

I have many warm memories of you Marvin. I remember when you were dating my Mom and you would bring bags of chips for each of us kids to calm us. It kinda worked? I remember staying with you out in Shilo and learning how to make fried bologna sandwiches. 1st-toasted bread, well fried bologna with the slit cut in it so it didn't bubble up, sliced cheese, lettuce and mayo.
Yummy! Now I'm getting hungry. If I had some bologna I would go make myself a sandwich. I may have to go shopping. HaHa.
I remember the snowball fight near Mt Rushmore where I left my coat behind. I remember you spotting empty bottles on the side of the road and having us kids run out to collect them. I remember how you always made us feel like we were all part of the family and even though we had a few battles we always worked it out. I know you took good care of my Mom and I know you loved us all You will be greatly missed!
Love always and May God Bless You Marvin!
