Obituary of Mel Moreland
MORELAND: At the wonderful age of 93 years, Robert Melvin (Mel) passed away peacefully at his residence, Fairview Personal Care Home, in Brandon, MB on Friday, December 30, 2022. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 66 years, Ruth; daughter Lynda (Dwayne) Miscavish, son Jamie (Tracey); grandchildren Blake (Jacey) and Natasha (Ben). Mel is survived by his brother Garth (Gloria); sisters: Elaine Campbell, Gwen (Ed) McPhail and Donna (Fred) Mistal; sister-in-law Dorothy (Bob) Galston; and numerous Moreland, Walton, Gompf, and Talman cousins, nieces, nephews – great and great-great!
As per Dad’s request, and in his typical fashion, a graveside service will be held at a later date when “no one has to freeze their arses off”.
The family would like to thank the 1st floor staff at Fairview for their care and compassion during this difficult time.
