Obituary of Manuel Jan Keim

Manuel Jan Keim

1979 — 2022

It's with great sadness that we announce the unexpected death of our Son, Brother, and Uncle at the age of 43 years. Manuel resided in Brandon, Manitoba but was born in Germany on April 10, 1979. He is survived by his Mom and Dad, Brigitte and Thomas Boller; brothers; Jorn Keim (Lindsay) and Jimmy Scholz; sister Jenn Streyko; nieces: Aquariah, Cassidy and Graely and nephew Kyran; Oma Elsbeth Pretzer; aunts: Lore Erb and Shannon Boller; uncle Munfred Boller; cousins: Olaf Erb, Hannah, Rebekah and Matthaus Boller. Manuel is Predeceased by his Opa Max Keim (1967); Oma Erika Keim (2007); uncles: Pierre Wendling (1998); Klaus Keim (2010) and Dieter Erb (2018); auntie Heidi Wendling (2020).

Growing up Manuel loved being with his parents and three siblings. He loved nothing more than family trips to Oak Lake Beach, Curren Park, Spruce Woods, and the Zoo where he loved to swim, catch anything that came his way, and where his love for animals grew. Manuel was known as the quiet and shy child, but excelled in his academics throughout school and was known as the whiz kid. He thoroughly enjoyed to learn and sing in his grade school Glee Club. At a young age, Manuel's love for all animals was very evident as you could always find him with the family dogs, cats and many hamsters.

Manuel graduated from Vincent Massey High School in 1997 with honours. After high school he accepted a job at his local Walmart, where he worked for the last 24 years. Throughout his adult life, Manuel took nothing but pride in becoming an uncle in 2000. Known as the well-loved and favourite uncle, he would spoil first, Aquariah; with his time, love, attention, and many gifts. His love would then expand eight years later to Cassidy, Graely and Kyran.

Manuel became a Christian and was baptized in 2009 when he found his faith in Jesus Christ, as he took pride in his beliefs and values. His love for reading and learning was evident when he challenged himself to learn and study the Greek and Hebrew languages along with his bible studies. He spread his love and dedication to those less fortunate when he sponsored three children from third world countries, Luis, Eva, and Anahi, through Children Believe and Christian Children's fund of Canada. His dedicated sponsorships over the years provided education, clothing, medical care and food for their families. His generous heart never went unnoticed.

Manuel will be forever in our hearts, loved and never forgotten as he is now freely home with His Lord and Saviour.

In lieu of flowers and gifts, please forward all donations to childrenbelieve.ca or ccfcanada.ca in honour of Manuel's kind heart and name.
