Clarence Gilbert Moar

“Stone Man, Old Man, Old Man Clarence”

June 1st, 1945 – September 25th, 2022

 

Clarence passed away peacefully after facing several long term issues he had with his health on September 25, 2022 at the Assiniboine Center of the Brandon Regional Hospital at the age of 77.

Clarence was born and raised in Crane River (O-Chi-Chak-Ko-Sipi First Nation).

Clarence is survived by siblings: Gordon Moar (Lowina), Elsie Duman (Jim), Oliver (Patsy), Alice Rose Moar (Robert) and baby sister, Linda Moar (Brian); sons: Rodney Moar, Murray Moar, Quentin McKay, Terry James Moar, Earl Moar; daughters: Jessica Moar (Leslie), Jasmine Twohearts and his baby daughter, Rose Moar and Papa to 23 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his mother and father, James and Mary Ann Moar; siblings: Albert Moar (Flora), Ear Moar, Ronald Moar, Donald Moar (Sandra); sister, Beatrice and brother-in-law, Alec Delorande;  children: Rhonda Moar, Clarence Moar Jr. (Tootsie); granddaughter, Natasha Moar; adopted son, Marlon Hotain and ex-wife, Tania Moar (McDonald).

He always held a special place in his heart for women in his life that he considered family: Pam Bruce, Meagan Wruth, Sally Dumas, Norma Jean McKay, Anne Watson, and Audrey Cook. Along with Cheryl Sabiston, Delphine Blair, and Betsy Sinclair (Dad’s Angels)

A Traditional Wake will be held at Clarence's residence on Friday, October 7, 2022 at 4:00 p.m.

A Funeral Service will be held at Brockie Donovan Chapel, 332 8th Street, Brandon, MB on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. A Feast will be held in his honour, at his residence following the Funeral Service. 

Active Pallbearers are: Donald Blagden, Kenneth McDonald, Jeff Moar, Blayze Moar, Aidan Munro and Gabriel Moar.

All his close friends and family are to consider themselves Honourary Pallbearers.
