Obituary of Carol Tracz

TRACZ: With saddened hearts we announce the passing our of beloved mother Carol Tracz on September 5, 2022 at the age of 76. Carol passed peacefully at the Brandon Regional Health Authority Palliative Ward. Carol was the daughter to Donald and Emma Simpson. Carol eventually left Melita and moved to Winnipeg to pursue her career in nursing. While working as an LPN at St. Boniface Hospital she met Archie, and they married in 1967. In 1977 Carol and Archie moved to Brandon and for the next 45 years was a permanent fixture on 13th Street East. After leaving nursing on her own accord Carol took up bartending position at the Sokol Clubroom, from there she bought her own business in the former Brandon Gallery which was known as "The Food Bar." She eventually sold the business and ended up working and retiring from Walmart. Carol was involved in coaching Girls Softball for several years, she also enjoyed curling, golf and loved to travel which took her to Mexico numerous times. Carol was predeceased by her husband Archie, infant son Jared, parents Donald and Emma, brother Ross, sister-in-law Darlene, and in-laws Peter and Rose, brother-in-law Jim, brother-in-law Joe, sister-in-law Ethel. Carol is survived by her three daughters Jennifer (Steve, Sarah, Jane), Jacquie (Jamie, Hugh, Allison) and JoAnn (Eros, Sofia), and her nephew Mark (Cyndi, Paige, Kaylee), brother-in-law Harold (Judy), sister-in-law Sylvia (Jack), and nieces Tracy and Terri. There will be a Celebration of Life Graveside at Rosewood Memorial Gardens Columbarium on Saturday October 8, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Carol may be made to Alzheimer Society of Canada.
