Obituary of Joyce Cable
CABLE: With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Joyce Cable at Fairview Personal Care Home on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at the age of 85 years. Joyce was born in Brandon on February 10, 1936 to Gordon and Evelyn Gerry. Joyce attended school in Brandon. She was employed by MTS, Brackenberries Candies and Reesor’s Jewellery. Joyce travelled, but was always happy to return home. Her life revolved around her pet poodle, Mitzy. Time was spent at the Brandon Shoppers Mall with her co-worker Shirley and her friend, Anita. Joyce is survived by her sister Shirley Vigneron and brothers: Kelvin, Wayne and Warren Gerry; and their families. She was predeceased by her parents Gordon and Evelyn Gerry; her sister Jean Sweeney; sister-in-law Irene Gerry and brothers-in-law Gordon Sweeney and Felix Vigneron and niece Valerie Sweeney. Interment will take place at the Brandon Cemetery on Monday, August 30, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. with Arlene Roberts officiating. Donations in memory of Joyce may be made to the Brandon Humane Society, 2200-17th Street East, Brandon, MB, R7A 7M6.
