Spunky, beautiful, willing to do anything for those she loved. I will never forget our trip to Hawaii with Darla, Amanda, Lexi and Brenden, all in a celebration of family and love. Darla was a truly wonderful spirit who brightened even more once Kai arrived. My heart aches for you all. Truly. But I also want you to know that a smile crosses my face when I think of helping Darla deal with the impending flood and all the phones she kept in her closet; the time we spent chatting while I renovated Amanda and Lexi’s kitchen; the laughs we shared and the warmth I felt whenever she hugged me. Although life has taken us all in different directions, her loving impact is undeniable and not bound by time. Darla, I will miss you. Amanda, there are no words to alleviate the loss you must be experiencing. I miss you and Lexi as well. And Brenden and Kai… I am so sorry. Take care, boys. I know how much you loved Darla. Think of you all…
