My deepest condolences to all of you in the loss of your wonderful mom, Jean. The memories I have of her , and there are so many, include her beautiful laugh and smiling face. She was a second mom to many of us in the neighborhood on 5th street. No Halloween was complete without her popcorn balls. Such a good cook and baker! So many memories of all the parties and dances and horse races that our parents enjoyed together! I remember once at your cabin at Lake Clementi,my Dad exclaimed he had a woodtick up his pant leg, and how everyone laughed when Jean didn’t hesitate a second, reached up and captured that darn woodtick! What a fun group of life long friends! Such good times and memories that the Leader girls were proud to share with all the Chapin’s!They are all together now.May your memories comfort you in your loss.
