Dear Blair, Greg and Carolyn,
I am deeply saddened to learn of Cheryl's passing. I have lovely memories of her at the cabin and more recently when we would chat via Facetime. She loved to hear my stories about Singapore. I will miss her.
My condolences to you and your families.

Karen Sobry, I'm a Eucharistic minister from St. Mary's Church in Souris so visited Cheryl many times! She was the most awesome lady and we shared many times together! She never once in all the years I knew her did she ever complain about her life or situation ! She talked several times about her children and we would pray for them! She loved her children and her granddaughter whom she talked about often! I feel so blessed to have met her and she taught me that no matter what life gives you to try and appreciate the good things in life! She will be missed ! My thought and prayers are with you all!

Cheryl and family were our neighbours when we lived in Thompson. We'll remember her friendliness and help when our boys were little. Carolyn babysat our boys. Our condolences and prayers all of you as you grieve during this difficult time.

Our condolences to Carolyn, Greg, Blair and the rest of Cheryl's family. Cheryl was a wonderful friend to me during the first ten years of our marriage when we lived in Thompson. She cared for plants and typed our travelogues, phoned me at work to say that she had made perogies and to come for lunch while they were hot, crocheted many gifts, guided me through having my first two children and drank endless cups of coffee with me. My parting gift to her was a huge piece of driftwood that my parents had hauled from Saskatchewan. Her gift was a tablecloth that she had had all of our Thompson friends sign. Se had exquisitely embroidered every single signature. It is a memory that I still treasure. Cheryl kept in touch over our many, many moves and always phoned on my birthday and sent emails on our anniversary. She would send updates of photos of the small trees that we had planted in our home, two doors down. She said that they gave her pleasure as they grew. I was so sorry that her last few years were so difficult for her. I am sure that she continued to touch the lives of everyone around her even during that time.

So sorry to hear about Cheryl's passing. She and my mom sat at the same table at the Souris PCH for quite some time and I got to know Cheryl. Used to take her out for her "smoke" after supper and take her some bananas and treats when I could. How she loved her computer and her "old" tv programs that she had on her computer. Going to miss seeing her in her "spot". She was an advocate for my mom over the years as well and would make sure everyone at her table was being looked after. Take care and know that we're thinking of you all at this sad time.

Cheryl was such a lovely lady, if you knew her you should consider yourself one of the lucky ones. I got to work with her for a bit at the law firm in Thompson, she made every day interesting and fun. She was funny, kind and witty. She left a mark on my heart forever. You will be missed. My condolences to her family.

Our deepest sympathy to Blair, Greg & Carolyn on the passing of your mother & Cheryl's family- brothers. I will always hold dear the time we spent together, The many mornings having coffee together. The times we spent with you at Setting Lake. I will always remember the first time we met, It was after a mass & you came up to us and said " Hi I am your neighbour, come over for coffee some day" that day was the beginning of a special friendship, right up to the time we moved away to come out west. I remember phoning you shortly after we moved and you said you were trying to find a way to sue someone for moving away!!!! You fought a good battle Cheryl, but now you are at peace, no more pain. Your friends forever Pat & Gary Wilkie
