Obituary of Clara May Campbell

Clara May Campbell (Conley) It is with heartfelt sadness our family announces the passing of Clara on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at the age of 90 years. She was surrounded and cared for by family and staff at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. Clara was predeceased by her husband, Glen Campbell in February, 2005 and son Wayne Campbell, July 2012. Clara was born June 5, 1922 in Brandon, Manitoba. She spent most of her life living in the east end of town, where she met and married Glen on August 28, 1941 at St. Andrews Church. Mom was a very active member of St. Andrews Church and the East End Community Centre. Mom spent many hours volunteering her time at bake sales for the Ladies Auxiliary and helping to chaperon the community teen dances with husband Glen. Clara was a devoted loving partner, who worked alongside Glen at the Husky Bulk Oil, the family business where she served customers at the gas pumps, did the bulk fuel inventories and monthly reconciliations. Mom enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, relaxing at the Lake, reading and entertaining family and friends, her entertainment center was the kitchen table where she served tea and homemade dainties. The heart of Mom's life was her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, whom she cherished and lovely equally and wished all to be mentioned as follows. Grandchildren, Kallie (Coralie) Campbell, Jason (Pam) Campbell, Melissa (Dharam) Gungaram, Wes Campbell (Michelle Sleshinski), Cindy (Randy) Riege, Tracy Campbell, Douglas Campbell, Tanya Marzoff, Teresa (Pete) Reykdal, Dwayne Hjelmeland, Amanda Hjelmeland, Great grandchildren, Michael, Sophia, Kayla, Taylor, Brennen and Aleagh Campbell, Annagh Sleshinski, Brad, Magan and Selena Riege, Ali, Tiffany and Bailey Marzoff, Andrew, James, and Katerina Hjelmeland, Damian and Alisha Reykdal. Great-great grandchildren, Tayen, Bryne Riege Funeral service will be held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel, 332-8th Street, On Monday, February 25, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. with Dr. Everett Busink officiating. Interment will follow at the Brandon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Clara may be made to the Brandon Regional Health Centre Foundation "Brandon RHA Cancer Services," 150 McTavish Avenue East, Brandon, Manitoba, R7A 2B3.
