Obituary of John Leslie Arnold Wells

WELLS: John Leslie Arnold, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2012 at the Assiniboine Centre in Brandon at the age of 64. John was born on October 20, 1947 in Steinbach, MB. He grew up in Shilo and left to join the Navy eventually moving to Winnipeg where he worked at ESB Ray-O-Vac. Medical conditions forced him to retire at an early age and eventually he moved to Brandon. John's interests included fishing, bowling and playing cards. He is survived by his mother Marjorie, his siblings Ken (Joanne), Ronald (Carol), Rodney, Pamela (Mike), Shelley (Ron), David (Dianne), Daniel (Suzette), Alan (Pamela) and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Wilfred and his brother Raymond. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at the Brandon Regional Health Centre and the Assiniboine Centre for their care and compassion for John over the past several months. A memorial service will be held at Brockie Donovan Funeral Chapel, 332-8th Street, on Friday, July 27, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. with Mr. Lawrence McInnes, Funeral Celebrant, officiating. Urn placement will be in the Brandon Cemetery Columbarium. Donations in memory of John may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Unit A1-800 Rosser Avenue, Brandon, MB, R7A 6N5.
