I was saddened to read of your Dad's death. I only met him once but communicated with him several times by mail. I am a twice removed cousin of Fred's. My Grandmother, Mary Baxter nee Gallagher, was sister to Charlotte and Annie Gallagher. I cannot remember which was Fred's Mother. Fred's Uncle, and namesake was Dr. Fred McGuinness of Winnipeg and a cousin of my Mother, Clara Hill nee Baxter. I did some of my nursing training in Brandon and had the pleasure of dinner at the McGuinness home a few times. I also am proud to own several books about Manitoba written by Fred. I do sympathize with your loss as fathers are an incredible influence on our lives and those of grandchildren. I would dearly love to hear from anyone of you and make some historical family connection. I am in Vancouver and our son lives near Duncan.
