Obituary of Charles (Wes) Wesley Bailey
BAILEY: Charles (Wes) Bailey passed away peacefully on March 7, 2011 at Assiniboine Centre in his 91st year. Wes was born on the family farm in the R.M. of Elton on August 15, 1919, to parents Mary (Minnie) and Charles Bailey. He received his education at Moore Park School. He then took over the farm and his love of farming and the rural lifestyle remained until his retirement. He was married in December of 1943 to Regina Dunseith and they were married for 67 years, until his death. During their latter years, they spent the summers on the farm and the winters in Brandon. They also enjoyed travelling and took numerous bus tours, covering many parts of the U.S.A. and eastern Canada. Wes is survived by his wife, Regina of Brandon and one son, Dexter, also of Brandon. One of his greatest passions was his farm and he enjoyed spending many hours of quality time there. At his request, cremation has taken place and a private family interment will be held.
