Obituary of Jane Vanderzee

VANDERZEE: It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Jane Vanderzee (née Helder) on Thursday, September 30, 2010 at Brandon Regional Health Centre at the age of 91 years. Jane was born in Drachten, Friesland, The Netherlands and moved to Canada with her family in 1928. Jane leaves to mourn her passing, her son John (Sandi) Vanderzee of Sherwood Park, AB; grandchildren Christopher, Carla, Curtis and Chad; great grand-daughter Paighton; three siblings and numerous nieces and nephews. Jane was predeceased by her husband Bill (1966) as well as her parents and six siblings. Jane had a strong Christian faith and was looking forward to her "promotion to Glory"! A time of visitation will take place at Brockie Donovan Funeral Home, 332-8th Street, on Monday, October 4, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. A celebration of Jane's life will be held on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at McDiarmid Drive Alliance Church, 635 McDiarmid Drive with Rev. Dan Pope officiating. Interment will follow at the Brandon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may make a donation to the Christian and Missionary Alliance "Global Advance Fund", through McDiarmid Drive Alliance Church, 635 McDiarmid Drive, Brandon, R7B 2H6.
