Our sympathies to Helen's family. She was a gracious lady whose greetings when we met were always enjoyed. Years ago she introduced us to life long friends and we always remember her fondly for that.

It was such a blessing and our honour to know Helen. We met her through St. Matthew's as well as her continuing connection with CFS of W.Mb. and respected her wisdom, sage advice and interest in the work we both were involved in.

Eleanor and family: My sympathy goes out to you and your family. Working for your mother as her secretary at the Children's Aid was a wonderful experience. We exchanged Christmas greetings each year for over 40 years. I know that she lived a full and rich life. Sincerely Fay Jelly

Although I was only in Brandon for two and a half short years in the 1970's, Helen made an incredible impact on my life. She welcomed us into the community and enlarged our circle of friends by inviting us to be part of her life. Her generosity in inviting my in-laws, Betty and Dorothy, to stay at her home led to a lifelong friendship that enriched their lives as well. Helen was an amazing, talented and generous individual. I am so grateful for the opportunity of getting to know her. My sincere condolences to all her family, Mary Brown, Boise, Idaho

My thoughts and prayers are with you as you celebrate Helen's life and witness. She was a woman of grace and strenght who touched so many lives. I give thanks that I was blessed by knowing her and join in praying for the repose of her soul in the presence of her Lord who she served so well in this life. May all who were close to her know peace and comfort as they mourn her passing. May we all follow her example of a life well lived.
Blessings,
Jim

Eleanor:
Your mother was always saint-like in my eyes and a true inspiration. From our time at the Children's Aid camp at Clear Lake to our frquent visits at the office later in life, I always admired her willingness to go the extra miles for kids of all ages. She will be missed for sure but will always have a special place in my heart. May God grant you his comfort at this time.

A little note on behalf of Cliff & Ethyl Stewart's family to express our sympathy in the passing of Aunt Nell. Duane reminds me that our Mom met Aunt Nel through Girl Guides & then when Mom went to Brandon to train as a psychiatric nurse; she spent many, many hours @ the Gerring home. We have heard many stories of the wonderful Gerring family. We knew that Aunt Nel sang at Mom & Dad's wedding. Although I wouldn't have visited all that much with Aunt Nel and Eleanor Ann [as we knew her by] -- always "felt" like I knew her well because Mom spoke so kindly and lovingly of Aunt Nel and was so proud of her many wonderful achievements. As well, they shared a love of the Anglican Church. I feel blessed to have had a couple of very nice visits with Aunt Nel in the last few years. Aunt Nel was a most wonderful lady and we were priviledged to have her in our lives. All being well; my sister Wendy & I are planning to attend the service on Saturday. Do take good care.
