Greg,
I just happened to find out that your Mom passed away recently. I'm sorry to hear that and from what Ive read she was a remarkable woman. Having lost my Mom in 2013 and my Dad in 1996, I know what you're going through.
It's been 50 years since Ridgemont and about 40 years since we shared a train ride to Ottawa. If you're ever back in Ottawa give me a shout at davidgloberman@gmail.com..as it would be great to see you.
In the meantime please take care and know that others are sending you warm thoughts.

Our sincere condolences to all of Lenore's family.
We always enjoyed her visits to Winnipeg to spend time with our Mom, Thelma.
The two would spend hours exchanging stories from their childhood and catching up on current events. Lenore always knew how to liven things up. Her energy and presence filled the room.
As well we remember the few times she popped in to see us at Sandy Lake - especially the time she showed up on the jet ski!
Upon hearing of Lenore's passing, our daughter Christa mentioned how now, "Lenore was with "Granny" and the other girls having a grand old time catching up"
Please take care and enjoy the wonderful memories you have.
Sincerely,
Dennis and Gloria Doan and family

It's always so very difficult for those of us who remain after having lost a loved one but God promises us that we will be re-united once again with those who have gone before us. Be comforted by his word and remain faithful.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you today as you struggle with your grief.

Jesus Comforts His Disciples
14 "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, trust also in me. 2 In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4You know the way to the place where I am going."
Jesus the Way to the Father
5 Thomas said to him, "Lord, we don't know where you are going, so how can we know the way?"
6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him."
John 14: 1-7

I will never forget how she drove me home and made sure my parents knew "it wasn't his fault" when I rolled mom's car on the north shore road. I always felt welcomed at the cabin and there was always the time and patience to take me out water skiing.
In so many ways I was made to feel like part of your family. I share your loss.

Greg, Linda, Liz, Doug & family - how privileged you all were to have had a lady, an icon of the community for all Her past years. Greg, I remember the many stories of you telling the staff of the many mornings your mother would go for a morning swim at Clear Lake. I remember seeing her once or twice when your father was campaigning when he was still active in politics. Lenore was a model wife, mother & role model for all of us. We will all miss her for her past contributions to your family, Brandon & Manitoba.

My sincerest condolences on Lenore's death.
The old order passes, and now we are unquestionably the older generation. As the each year passes, I gain a new understanding of my parents that informs my own ageing process, and I'm sure it will be the same for each of you. Lenore left a legacy of community involvement and a powerful model of how to be her own person! She was right at the front of the women's movement. In fact, she may well have been ahead of the wave!
Our families had a long history together, both as friends and relatives once removed. I even remember babysitting you in your 23rd Street home.
Celebrate your mom/grandma and be grateful for her release from the ravages of the illness of her final years.
