Debbie and I were great friends through high school and beyond until she moved to Alberta and we lost touch. I remember her big heart and lots of laughter on our misadventures. I am so sorry for your loss.

I've only known Debra for about 10 years through my current and previous employer. I loved our chats over the years. You were amazing to get to know. I'm so saddened by this news. Sending big hugs to your family and all your friends. May you rest in peace.

My sincere sympathy to all Deb's family at this very sad time. Deb and I enjoyed a
wonderful friendship beginning in grade 5 at Rivers elementary school. That friendship
lasted and grew stronger until we graduated from grade 12 together. Loosing touch for several
years didn't mean losing love for each other and our treasured memories. Many, many
overnight stays at the Sykes family farm and the kindness I received from Lenore
and the fun we had. Playing hide-n-seek in the dark with all Deb's brothers and sister.
Going to movies, and a whole lot of silly stuff. Deb and I reconnected, albeit only
by phone, in the last couple years and had many heartfelt conversations. Coffee
together and a great big hug was on our to do list and sitting here now looking at
her picture with a stab of pain in my heart knowing that we won't share the laughter
that we would have if that coffee had taken place. But if I could, I would tell you Deb,
that we grew together, we laughed together, we cried together, thanks for all that and
more you were the best friend I ever had. Rest softly. I know how much you all will miss
Deb's caring love. Cherish her memory.
