Uncle Gill had a lovable and wily smile as I remembered. I knew him only when I was a child and loved him unconditionally as I believe he loved me.
It was he that gave me my first chance to drive on a country road in Saskatchewan. It was absolutely hilarious as I proceeded to drive the truck directly in the ditch as I couldn't see over the dash or reach the pedals. That didn't matter to uncle Gill as he let me try anyway. In my eyes, he was the perfect uncle as there was nothing that was out of bounds.
