Our condolences Kathy to you and your family. I got to know John through Lions where I witnessed a very dedicated person. Truly was a like long friend. I know he enjoyed the wine that appeared from time to time.

I had the pleasure of also working at the Downtown Police Station where John was one of our group of very dedicated and hard working volunteers who staffed the office.
John took great pride in this position and after proudly serving Canada for so many years in the Canadian Forces - continued to serve our local community in a variety of volunteer roles.
I have many fond memories of this wonderful man who truly would "give you the shirt off his back".

I am very saddened to see that my long time friend has passed on. John was a
volunteer at the down town police station while I was in charge of that area and
he was a great volunteer. John was a very generous person and never hesitated
to lend a hand to anyone.
