Obituary of Clarence Hayden Orchard
ORCHARD: Clarence Hayden. Dear father of Geoffrey and Sally passed away on March 20, 2019, age 95. Dad was born in Brandon on February 17, 1924 and lived here all his life, except for his service in the RCA and RCNVR during World War II. He married Edna Mae Chapman on August 6, 1949. Edna was his best friend and partner much beloved for the time they had together, she passed away much too soon on July 18, 1999. Dad never quite recovered from his loss. He worked in the office of C.P. Transport for four years, he then went to Canada Post for thirty one years. Dad took early retirement in March, 1983. At his request no formal funeral will be held. Private family service. Dad said for any one wishing to remember him to buy a rose for someone you love. He leaves Geoffrey (Linda), Sally (Harold), granddaughters Katie (Dean) and Sarah, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
