I heard this very sad news this morning and my eyes filled with tears for the loss of such a wonderful friend, leader, and mentor to so many. I hold many fond memories... the School plays when Jo dressed up like Pippy-L-S, when she took me under her wing and I accompanied her to a nurse theorist conference in Edmonton, as well as the great times we shared co-teaching a course in the new post-RN program she spear-headed. Shirley Jo was a legend and ahead of her time in so many ways. I will miss her terribly. Please accept my deepest sympathies on behalf of Zenon and myself. We wish you strength and courage at this time and as the future unfolds.
