David & Gordon, Condolences to you and your families. I was a student in your Mom's Grade 9 home room at Rivers High School in 1963-64. She made Math my favourite subject and that has stayed with me all these years. She had that knack for making everything seem so much easier than I ever thought it could be. A skilled teacher and a wonderful lady! You won't remember this, but I actually babysat you both a few times.

I had Mrs. Davies for Math in Grade 10. I started off hating Math but she made it interesting somehow. After a while I started to really enjoy it. That is the sign of a talented teacher. She was strict but fair and she had a great laugh. My condolences to her family.

Mrs. Davies was one of my favourite all time teachers and was my home room teacher in grade 9, 1963-64, at Rivers Collegiate. We reconnected at a school reunion partially held at the Vic Inn, I believe, in 2006. Condolences to her family, she was a great lady.

Although so many years ago, I remember Mrs. Davies very well as she was my grade 12 math teacher in Manitou, MB - very strict (nobody dared to fail her class!) so dedicated and a great teacher - Lorna Rolling, Brandon, MB.

To David and Gordon and their Families
Please accept my sincere sympathy in the death of your Mother. Fond memories of our close neighbours on Fernwood Crescent are brought to mind as we watched you boys grow up and your Mom and Dad wanting the best for you in life. I am still carrying on, as Ken passed 2 years ago. Tanya and Scott are near and care for me well. I have been remiss in not visiting your Mother recently but am finding good memories of your parents. Sincerely, Heather Moore.
