My sincere condolences to Wayne and Brenda and families. Auntie Ev was as much an aunt as one of my real aunts, perhaps even more. She and Uncle Gordon were there for us right from our beginnings as next door neighbors and friends. I always tried to stop in and see Auntie Ev whenever I visited Minnedosa and marveled as to how well she was getting on at every visit. She was always so sweet. I was very saddened to learn of her passing. She can rest now and join Uncle Gordon and Thorburn, taken from us so many years ago.
I give Auntie Ev huge credit for many of my life successes. Every month when we were kids she gave us a box of decovered comic books that were left unsold at Alexanders and Dale and I tore through them again and again. It helped instill a love of reading that did me well. I will miss her.

Evelyn was a lovely lady both inside and out. I knew her and came to realize her strength and vitality through her daughter Brenda. With Evelyn's passing a light has gone out in the world but a new star twinkles in the heavens.
With love,
Tricia Wolber
