I am so sorry today's date is December 2019 i just found out. My deepest sympathy and condolences to his family, especially his children. I had worked with Darren and loved him so much while I was an intern for Human Resources Development Canada. I am in shock - this world lost an angel I'm forever grateful to have been his friend co worker and lover. Blessing to his family.

Daren and I went to boarding school together in North Dakota. I remember one night deep in the winter of 1986. For some reason I was unusually sensitive to the cold and my window was drafty. Finally, I went downstairs and asked Daren to switch beds. Without hesitation he was willing to do so. For the rest of the night, I was comfortable in his bed, and he slept in mine with the cold draft. I am forever grateful. I will miss him.

I would like to send my sincere condolence to Daren's family. When I heard of Daren passing my mind immediately returned to our childhood time together. The first snow every winter brought our favorite past time hurling back...neighbourhood street hockey on 22nd street. It feels like yesterday. Thank you for the wonderful memories Darren, you will be remembered with a smile on my face.

My deepest sympathy to Harold and Jeanette on the death of your son Daren. I remember him in my prayers. Once I had a good visit with him at the New Era School when we both happened to be there for open house on the 100th anniversary (I think) of the school. It was just the right time for him to open up his heart. May his soul rest in peace.

I met Daren in his grade 12 year at NDA. I remember Daren being the responsible one, both to his peers and superiors. Responsible, loyal, intelligent and hardworking....he earned my love and respect. And there was the fun loving side of Tripp! I am so grateful to have reconnected with Daren as an adult in Regina! Always game for a vodka, laughs, theories, faith and stories! He was a GOOD person, a fun loving and loyal friend. I will miss you. My deepest condolences to his family

I worked with Daren almost his entire career with Manitoba Justice. Daren and I spent many hours together trying to solve the worlds problems, or at least we thought we could. I was fortunate that we kept in touch after we both left Manitoba Justice to move onto other career opportunities. We had lunch in Winnipeg about a month ago and were able to catch up on each other's lives. When we sat and talked, minutes would become hours and the time we spent catching up was always welcomed.
I was very fortunate to have had the opportunity to have worked and known Daren. He was an exceptional colleague, a tremendous friend and excellent person. As I write this, I am still in disbelief that he is gone, but I am so thankful that I had the opportunity to have known him and be close friends.
My deepest condolences go out to the entire families. I will miss my friend.

I first met Darren at Notre Dame Academy. There he was one of the older kids when I was there. Though, I distinctly remember his vibrant spirit and piano abilities. He used to play before our "black and white" movie night. I'm saddened by his passing knowing he was a good and faithful man. Sorry for the families loss and I'm sure many others. God bless. I am so sorry for your loss. Daren was such a great friend and classmate at NDA. I recently spoke with him and had such a nice conversation. He will be greatly missed. He mentioned he had a devotion to Padre Pio during our talk. He was so grateful for his years at Powers Lake. Sending my deepest condolences and prayers for the repose of his soul and for his family.

I met Daren at Power's Lake North Dakota during the 1985-86 school year. He was the oldest, had the most responsibility and was a natural leader. I next saw him 2004 in Brandon while I was on a work assignment there. We had dinners, a few drinks and laughs and reminisced about the NDA experience. We met up again in Regina in 2016, in Edmonton in 2017 and again in Regina in July of this year. Daren was honorable. He always upheld his values. He was intelligent, educated and well read. I could always count on him for excellent business advice. He was a close friend, and I will miss him dearly. In addition to dinners and conversations, we also had served Mass together and once had a boxing match. Rest in Peace Daren - see you on the other side.
