Heartfelt sympathy to the entire Beeston family. There will never be another Doctor as kind, caring and compassionate as Doctor Beeston. We knew Dr. Beeston from the emergency department. Our Dad received the best of care from Dr. B. and we enjoyed his great sense of humour! Plus we loved the "toe shoes". Greatly missed, never forgotten.
John, Sharon, and Arlene Saito
I work at BRHC and every time I saw Dr. Beeston, he would always greet me with a smile and ask how my Dad and sister were. He treated everybody as an equal. I will certainly miss seeing his smiling face around. May you all know that there are many people feeling this loss deeply. He touched the lives of everybody that he met.

Stacey and Family,
I am so sorry for your loss, words cannot express how I am sure you are feeling.
Dr. Beeston was one of the most compassionate Doctor around. He healed with his compassion and his Humour. My favorite memory of Dr. Beeston was the numerous calls from emerg in the middle of the night from him looking for chocolate milk and a MRSA sandwich (haha). The best thing about Dr. Beeston was that he didn't just treat his patients in the ER he always came up to the ward the next day to check on them. (he cared) He treated all staff as part of the Team and that I will always miss. If you were the nurse for his patient he asked and valued your opinion. He will be missed by so many people.
Take Care

I knew Dr. Beeston through the DI department at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. He came over on numerous occasions and ask "Are you able to fit in an ultrasound for this patient?" and launch into a very detailed clinical history. We usually replied "Absolutely Dr. Beeston, what is the patients name so we can be ready for the requisition?"
He would look down at his jeans that had several patient identification stickers on them and pick them off one at a time till he found the correct one and present it to us!
It was a small thing he did but it made me chuckle every time.
My condolences to all who knew and worked with Chris, he will be missed by many.

I knew Dr. Beeston only through numerous encounters at the ER with my sons. He had such a way about him! I had been there for quite a long time, through the dinner hour during one visit - he looked at me and said "Mom, are you hungry? Come with me!" He gave me a little tour of the kitchen area, showed me the cookies, sandwiches, tea and coffee. He had a sense of humour and such compassion - he will be missed. My condolences to his family, friends and co workers.

Dr. Beeston was one of the best doctors I have encountered in my life. He was professional, compassionate and had a wonderful sense of humour. My first encounter in the ER was when I ended up needed emergency surgery. He came and told me he had good news and bad news. I asked what the good news was. He told me I needed emergency surgery. I then a little concerned asked what the bad news was. He took the glass of ice chips with a big smile and said "no more ice chips". I couldn't help but laugh. My heartfelt condolences go out to his wife and children.

My heart aches with the entire Beeston family. That family also included those whose lives he touched everyday at work. Always a quick smile and fantastic sense of humour but when need be, the utmost professional. He treated all staff as people and put his patients at ease. He was so proud to be a father and beamed when it was visit time.
Know that there are so many who grieve with you and will have you in thoughts and prayers.

I met Dr. Beeston as a patient in the E.R. Department. He was always very kind and went out of his way to make sure myself and everyone in his care was alright. He became a big player in my healthcare team and I will be forever grateful for his involvement in my emergency care. He genuinely cared about his patients and that is a quality hard to find. My deepest condolences and sympathies go out to his wife and children as well as his extended family during their time of sorrow. He was taken from all of us way too soon and he will be sadly missed by all and everyone who's lives he has touched.

Dr. Beeston's legacy will be a treasured one to all who knew him in healthcare. He was full of energy and enthusiasm and had a twinkle of curiosity in his eyes. When Dr. B. was the Hospitalist (on duty) he usually tried to seek out the Clinical Resource Nurse to accompany him on "Patient Rounds". Dr. B. liked to share & receive patient progress with the nursing staff. On one occasion he opened the office door to a meeting I was attending and he gave me that look and usual comment that I remember so well.......
"Ok, Let's Go Do This"!
Dr. Beeston has left a footprint with many he crossed paths with.
With sincere sympathy to you and your family.

I had the pleasure of working with Chris at the hospital as a member of the STEP department. Chris was a friendly doctor with good sense of humour and a caring compassionate man. No question was trivial and he never treated nurses in our department with anything but respect for our knowledge and years of experience. On a lighter note he did question my hearing on one occasion when I drove in an out patient to the ER for him to see about a low Bp. in community we use manual Bp machines so he questioned my hearing when she was hooked up to monitor and her Bp was normal. But because I persisted and he trusted my judgement the patient ended up 5 day stay in hospital with undiagnosed cardiac issues. He apologized to me a few days later at work to say I guess your ears are still working. That's the kind of person and doctor he was. We have lost a caring physician and a loving father and husband. My sincere condolences to you Stacey and the children. He will be greatly missed by all that met him.

My condolences to the Beeston family on your tragic loss. I have had the pleasure to get to know this man over my years at BRHC through work and my own health situations. Though we were not equals in job status, he always treated me (and everyone) like an equal. Chris (Dr. B.) was always willing to go above and beyond his duties as a doctor. He cared about the person and their life; remembering more about patient's lives than any of us can even fathom, even asking about your family members and how they are doing because he observed you with them when he had them as a patient in the ER. I believe that he truly exemplified the Golden Rule "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you". It has been a great honour and privilege for me to know and work alongside one of God's special people in life, Dr. Chris Beeston.

I hope the Beeston Clan knows how sorry I am. You are such an incredibly close family and I know these last nine months have been beyond difficult. My first memories of Chris are of him being a bit of a monkey and ragamuffin..getting in the way of Sarah, Nicky, and I as we tried to play our own games. He was always happy, sincere, a bit goofy, and full of life. As an adult, I did not see Chris very frequently. He was busy studying in interesting cities and creating a life for himself away from Victoria. Whenever Chris returned home I would see him out at The Beeston's house on Elk Lake. He always greeted me with an enveloping hug and asked questions about me and my life that were sincere and I felt that he truly was interested in how I was doing. I don't know what to say at this point. Although I have only met them briefly, I know from Sarah that Chris has three beautiful, kind, and loving children and a magnificent life partner, Stacey. I wish all of you strength over this next chunk of time while you grieve losing your Father and Husband. Love and hugs to all of you. XXOO

I did not know Chris well. I was fortunate enough to work in the ER where he was the Boss. I worked last night when he passed. I saw staff cry. Cover themselves in warm blankets. Looked lost. I caught myself hoping that one day, when It was my turn to leave this body and move on to the next, I would have made such an impact that people that worked with me, would feel acutely the loss of my presence. Chris, you certainly left your heart in a lot of people. I know that you are free, but they are suffering. I know that your babies will always remember their dad in awe. I know that your wife, and their mom, is a strong woman, that will carry your legacy. Dr Beeston, you will be missed, but we will strive to fill your shoes. Well done, bud.
