I knew Jack at the College of Emmanuel and St. Chad in Saskatoon when he came to study for the ministry. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed College life. Lois had an electric typewriter (a modern invention in 1964). She typed my thesis for me. Jack served in the Diocese of Saskatoon for a few years, before my time as Bishop. I know his ministry was appreciated here. Sympathy to the Cameron family.

Jim Brown posted a condolence

I first met Jack in the Diocese of Rupert's Land when he was at St. Mary's Church in Portage La Prairie. He had a great sense of humour. Eventually we both moved out to Brandon and we connected again. Once he told us about going out to Sioux Valley to take a Communion Service. He was doing the ablutions when he shockingly discovered that someone had left vinegar in the water cruet. As he downed the " water " to wash out the chalice he almost choked on the sharp taste of a big gulp of vinegar.
After being given the honorary title of " Canon " Jack told some of us the definition of a Canon - Someone of small caliber who is a big bore. What a wonderful priest!
Well done good and faithful servant! - Rev. Canon Jim Brown
