Marissa was one of the first friends I ever had in life, and what a lucky thing that was.
It's been years but I'll always hold close the memories of us playing woodland creatures in the snow in the empty lot beside her house and waiting for rainy days so we could look for rainbows and have a Barbie hair salon in the bathroom.
My heart breaks and I can't believe that her story has ended here, much too soon, but her light and love live on in the hearts of every person she touched :heart:
After I heard this news, I went outside and saw a bright rainbow in the sky, and all I can say is thank you, you beautiful angel.

You don't know me. My boyfriend and I were in a car behind you. We became first responders on the site and offered support and help in any way we could. As we had both lost loved ones in car accidents, we felt we had to stay to offer anything we could, whether it be a hand to hold or a calming word.
When we arrived on site, I ran to the car and reached in to hold the hand of the young man in the back seat. He squeezed it and told me his name and I told him he would be ok. It was at that moment I realized where you were coming from when I saw the bracelet on his hand. I as well had been at Shambhala Music Festival and I immediately felt a connection to you all.
I have been so heartbroken for you and your family. I followed every article and news update in hopes of good news and cried when I heard you had past away. I only know your name because I held your phone in my hand.
We could so easily have danced together or shared a laugh or a high five. The only thing I am grateful for is that your last days on this earth were spent swimming in a beautiful river and dancing in the forest surrounded by friends and farmily.
