From Scott Diehl (son of Fred Diehl, grandson of Jim and Irene Diehl)
My father Fred always had fond memories of Iris. They spent a childhood together at the farm on Cyprus River. Although they were cousins, because the two families lived so close they were like brothers and sisters. What a great upbringing they had on the farm, with so many adventures and stories.
Iris was always a sunny soul. And she always had a laugh and a kind thought at our Diehl family reunions in Manitoba. She was always eager to hug her relatives, and share a story with all of us.
The family of Jim and Irene are now scattered between Winnipeg, Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Comox, and many other places. We offer our sincere condolences to those of you in attendance at her service. And we will always remember Iris in our heart.
