We are very saddened to hear of Harold's passing and our sincerest and deepest sympathies to Winnie and her family. We have such great memories of Harold and Winnie -- first meeting them while sailing in Turkey and sharing an unforgetable Turkish Bath experience and then there were all those other sailing adventures -- in Vancouver, Antigua, the BVI's and Pelican Lake -- not to mention the boy's boat delivery from Toulon, France to Greece. It was wonderful to share such great times together. Harold will always live on in our most pleasant memories.

We have been away and have just returned to hear of Harold's passing. We are so sorry Winnie and family for your loss. I know Harold will be deeply missed but he will always be with you in your treasured memories. We would see Harold in the mall and that time spent with him laughing and sharing stories always lifted your spirits. Paddy remembers fondly the times his and your family spent together from years past and shares many happy stories from time to time. Our thoughts are with you.

I offer my sincere condolences to Winnie and to Harold and Winnie's extended family.
I always enjoyed Harold and Winnie's visits to the Maritimes, at New Glasgow, Point 44 (the sandbar), Melmerby Beach, and Halifax.
Also there were oft told stories from the family of Harold's early years vacationing with his Uncle Bill Munro and Aunt Marge.
In Chipman,New Brunswick, as a boy, Harold would introduce my dad as his Uncle Bill, born thirty years too soon!
One family story related that Grandfather Hugh Munro spit tobacco juice on Harold's bare foot. An hour later when the old fellow was asleep on the studio couch with his mouth open, Harold took his revenge by pouring a full glass of cold water down Grandpa Hugh's throat.
Such memories will last a long, long time. Love to all.
With respect, Jerry (G.H.) Munro, New Glasgow, Nova Scotia.

We will all have our personal and special memories of Harold. He brought happiness to many people and he always had a way of making us laugh. We were lucky to him in our lives and I know we all miss him. Our trip out west to visit when I was a teenager always brings back great memories (except for the skinny dipping, didn't need to see that). We will be raising our glasses down here on the east coast.

Winnie and Family: We are so sorry to hear about Harold. We are currently on Vancouver Island, starting to return east, expecting to be in Manitoba in a couple of weeks. I remember the stories of Harold pouring water down our grandfather's throat when he was asleep, the near drowning incident with Dad and Bob MacAllister, Harold's guarding of Dad's car on their wedding day. I remember Harold's attachment to the farm in Chipman, his many visits Down East, and boating on Grand Lake.
We extend our deepest sympathy to the family at this time.

Winnie & Family: I am so sorry to read of Harold's death.
We have so many memories too many to mention from the years
of living in Brandon, Rivers & Shilo. Of our many times of camping
at Pelican Lake & Oak Lake. One memory of Pelican Lake was
when you were building your cottage & Harold was showing us where
it was going to be & the road was very muddy & slippery from rain the
night before. Susan, Gregory & Troy were making mud balls & throwing
them & one hit Harold right on his neck. Well, he thought it had crippled him.
He had no voice. And of course all we did was laugh. You can imagine how
dramatic that would be.
The one at Oak Lake when the boat sank. There are many more. But it is great
to have all these memories of all the good times. He is at rest & peace no more
suffering. I pray for Comfort & Peace for you all. Lots of Love.
Irene Murphy
