Our thoughts and prayers are with you today! I just went today to visit Viney and found that she had passed away. She was such a lovely lady and I can still see her on 12th street making buns before dawn to keep us all fed. She was a good friend to Mum and always had a laugh and a smile ready for you. I remember that also vaguely .... I remember the porch ... they had a gum ball machine you put money in to, a penny I think.... and it gave you a gum ball... only memory I have of the queen Charlottes Thanks for sharing

I will always remember flying over in a sea plane to visit Aunty Viney and Uncle Harry when they lived on Queen Charlotte Island. I was about 11 or 12 years old and it has been one of my childhoods greatest holiday memories. Aunty Viney was so welcoming to us all and she had a personality that just made you roll with laughter. It is without a doubt that she lived a long and very happy life and will be dearly missed by many. May she rest in peace. xoxo
