I See a Man (Part 2)
Well the battle was waged, and we won for a while.
We even got back for some visits and his smile.
The years score card reads; Cancer 8 Million, Dad ZERO
It hurts so much more, because he was truly our HERO.
He put up a fight, oh yes indeed.
For almost a year, but now he has been freed.
The pain, the strength, he sure made us proud.
He tried Smiling through the worst, and laughing out loud.
"I think I'm Superman", he said after he fell.
His humour intact, but would never get well.
More than you could ever know, let me tell you, it's so sad.
Superman had nothing, over our sweet Dad.
Our memories are strong, and buried deep in our heart.
And even those he is gone, we will never be apart.
May 3rd, 42 is so important you see.
Had he not been born, our family wouldn't be.
He leaves his loving Wife, his Daughter & Son, that's me.
And by extension, my family, continues the tree.
With Broken Hearts, we now salute your goodby.
Our so many tears, that will never run dry.
Your birthday will live, from this point on.
Your life will be celebrated, even though you are gone.
We love you Dad, and will never forget.
Our memories embedded, like the perfect sunset.
Rest in peace, until we see you again.
So much more then our Dad; you were a just a great friend.

Sorry for your loss, Mel was a great guy, he taught me a lot about how to use my computer when I was learning which was nice. I also enjoyed a few 6:00 am golf games with him. He will be missed.

I See a Man... (Part 1)
I See a Man who puts his family first. We laugh through the good times, and smile through the worst.
Christmas & Holidays were always a great time. Memories more important, then saving that dime.
Married and loved for 50 years. Raising two children, with very few fears.
I See a Man, who's smarter then he thinks. Computers, cars, even building in sinks.
Not a "Jack of All Trades", but a Master of Some. Many of these now handed down to his Son.
His working life was at a job he didn't love; but he kept us all comfortable when push came to shove.
I See a Man as stubborn as hell. He battled sickness before, and came back well.
With new challenges ahead, and uncertain too. We are all here to fight, and will help get you through.
"A Chip off the Old Block" as some would say. We grow up like our fathers in many of ways.
I see my Dad, and I'm as proud as can be. To be the next line down, in our family tree.
Our namesake is strong, and forever will be.
Oh yes my two boys, are just like me! ...

Auntie Donna, Alan (family) and Wanda
We were sorry to hear of Uncle's passing.
He will be truly missed, his sassy smile and cheeky sense of humour were only a few of his treasured traits we loved.
My childhood memories are only complete with him as one of the main characters. He taught my husband to eat a proper turkey dinner- at least two platefuls every time. He was patient with my kids as youngsters when they decided they were going to entertain him. He was there for me if I needed someone who might have also had his share of youthful mishaps and understood.
He gave so much in his own quiet way, it was noticed and appreciated.
Sending our love to you all in your time of grief.
Love Lisa, Mike

Donna, we wish you and your family peace and comfort from family and friends as you continue on life's journey without the love of your life by your side. Let John's spirit give you strength for the days ahead. With our heartfelt sympathy and love, we send caring thoughts your way.
Wanda is such a wonderful and loving friend to our family that she really is part of our family. She's been there for the births of both our children, so many birthdays and life events and is known affectionately as "Auntie Wanda" in our home. We are so proud to call her our friend and we all can be forever proud of the woman she has grown into. Please know that we are here to look after her and her heart once she is back home in Vancouver.
With our Deepest Sympathy,
Michael, Lori, Michayla and Kean McKenzie
