We want to convey our deepest sympathy to the Hamm and Misanchuk families.
I was Donna's coach 'way back when she played as a Squirt for East End in Community Girls Softball, and I have to tell you I really remembered her mostly by her picture -- she has not changed a bit!! She always had the liveliest, most positive attitude to the game, to her team-mates and always showed respect for her coaches. She made a difference - made the whole thing worth while, because she was such a 'spitfire' -- always wanted to play and do her very best.....whatever position she was asked to play. Because of these qualities we know how much she will be missed. My husband often came to watch the games with our boys, and we both remember you, Donna!!!

I was shocked to learn Donna has passed away. I went to school with Donna, Lori, and Greg. She was a beautiful person, full of life, and full of laughter.
When I had to move my Mom to Central Park Lodge, there was Donna. To me, she was my "angel" when I needed one the most. She cared, she was compassionate, and she helped my Mom with her difficult transition to her new "home". I will be forever grateful for Donna's support.

Donna was a wonderful friend and support to our parents, Bill and Joan Burgess. The first time I met Donna, she had dropped in on my parents who were her neighbours at the time, bearing giant pieces of homemade strawberry shortcake . She told me how she'd become close to Mom following the death of her own mother. Even after mom was immobilized by Parkonson's Donna would show up with her pet dachshund for a visit. Donna gave us all so much to admire and aspire to: her appreciation of little things, her warmth and acceptance of whatever life threw her way, her devotion to family and her belief that each day mattered. I know all of us are better for having known her, and eternally grateful for all the ways she made our lives richer. Our hearts go out to you and are with you as you learn to live without her physical presence. I have a feeling though, she's not far from your side.

Our deepest sympathy goes out to Kelly, Amanda, Kyle, and Donna's extended family.
Our sons played hockey together and Donna was always a hardworking parent that helped out with fundraising and the after hockey game fun!!! This is how I first got to know Donna and the Hamm family.
When Donna started her new business "Caring Companions", I knew how caring and hardworking she was, and when I needed help with my parents she was the first one I called. Donna, Kelly, and the C.C. staff have helped me out so much over the years. The staff at Victoria Landing thought they were my family members!! That is how much they care!! Even when Donna was dealing with her own difficulties she still maintained that love and great concern for others. My Dad has been blessed by their care over the years! I am truly grateful!
She is a shining example of how one person can make a difference and the power of a genuine smile!
