Nancy was a regular bingo player every Mon. night at the Sokol and I had the pleasure of sharing her table amongst her friends. Looked forward to seeing Nancy every Mon. we shared a lot of laughter. Have thought of her fondly many times. Condolences to the family. Joe

I was surprised and saddened to learn of Nancy's passing. I was fortunate, though, in that we had encountered one another just a few days prior while shopping. We stopped and had a brief but pleasant visit, reminiscing a bit about our time at Eaton's. She remembered my fondness for Viking Burgers, and, I must admit, she made the best burgers. It looks like she is leaving behind numerous family and friends who all have fond memories of her, and, really, I don't think you can ask much more than that.

I am very proud to call her my Auntie Nancy. She always brightened up a room with her great sense of humour and was always the life of the party. As a child I loved spending time with her, we would have sleep overs and go to McDonald's in the morning for break fast. As an adult, I also got to share a beer with her! Everyone was friends with Auntie but I was honored to call her my family. Love you! enjoy the after life and I'll always be thinking of you! Xoxo

Nancy was our favourite neighbour when we lived on 21st Street and our son Kieran became fast friends with Nancy's great granddaughter Keara and big brother Cody too. Nancy wanted what was best for her family and friends and was a giver of her time and resources in every way she could. She was a generous, friendly and loving lady with a zest for life and will be missed by all who knew her.

Nancy was the "belle of the ball" never ever sitting still in the lunch bar at Eaton's. She remembered everyone who crossed her path and I always enjoyed running into her in her later years. She always wanted to keep tabs on how the "little people" were and the last time I saw her I received the warmest of hugs when I told her that my dad had died. A rare gem. Cherish the memories!

Nancy…or Auntie Nancy as I knew her through Kim was one of those people that could light up a room! She had a great sense of humour and a beaming smile! I never met her on the street and not receive a warm hug! Though it was sad news to hear of her passing it must be of some comfort to know she was living her life right up to the end. I send deepest sympathy to all her family…may you find comfort in your wonderful memories of this dear lady.
