I am so sorry to hear that Rod has passed away. Mavis my I offer you my heart felt sympathies for your tragic loss, my thoughts are also with his two other favorite girls.
I first met Rod in arrivals at Calgary airport when he first started with RJE, at that time I did not know we would end up working on the road together for four years.
Over the years we worked on many projects not always seeing eye to eye but together we got the job done.
Rod was a very hard worker, new his stuff and was a good mentor.
Most of all Rod would do anything for you especially his family.
A tragic loss for sure, I will miss you Big Man and as your belt buckle says............
Ever the showman
Mavis, all our love
David, Sharron and Callum

I was stunned to learn of Rod's passing. I had the privilege of working closely with Rod at MTS. He was a wonderful co-worker and a great mentor. Some of my best memories of my career at MTS are about field trips with Rod and whenever we'd run into each other over the years we'd always reminisce and share a laugh. Although he could come across as gruff, he was actually a very kindhearted, gentle man---a very proud husband, father & grandfather. My sincere condolences on your loss.

We were shocked to hear that Rodney has passed away at such a young age. Heaven must have needed a special angel. Rodney was such a kind, caring person with such great compassion for people and life. We send our deepest sympathies and know that this loss will be felt by everyone who knew and worked with him. Although we seldom saw Rodney after his career at MTS, Ken and I thought of all of you often and wondered what you were up to. We have such wonderful memories of Rodney at barbecues, of working together, and sharing a drink or cup of coffee. We send big hugs to all of you!
