I overheard a short conversation that Uncle Mike and Uncle Dick had once while sitting in the living room during a Christmas dinner at Mom's place many, many years ago. Dick had already had some whiskey and was slurring his words a little bit and the TV was loud with some football game or something.
"Did you know Jim Watts"? Dick asked Mike
Mike replied, "What"?
"No, Watts"! Dick responded
"What"!? Said Mike
"Watts, I said Jim Watts!!...Never mind". Said Dick
"Oh Watts, yea, Jim Watts, no I didn't know him", Mike concluded
For some reason that little funny moment stayed with me and I will always be able to picture the two of them sitting there, frozen in time.
Don't forget that Uncle Mike always had chocolate candy for everyone when he came over for the annual Christmas dinner at Mom's place.
I will miss him.
