Remembering all the years of growing up in Fleming and the Stonehouses as our neighbours and friends when Mardell and kids would come to stay in the summers with Alex and Gladys. Also, later years when Mardell would be with them and then with Gladys, eventually moving to Moosomin. Thinking of all Mardell's kids, especially Randy, who was my age and friends with myself and brother Dale.

Mardell was my great aunt, and she was great. She always made me laugh as she never liked getting her picture taken. She was such a loving and caring person, she will be missed by so many people. One of those people is myself. Rest in peace, love you always.

My Mother
Look up to the sky,
Now tell me what you see,
A cloud, the moon, the sun,
Many answers there will be,
When I look to the sky,
I'll tell you what I see
I see my Mother
And She's looking back at me
She tells me we mustn't be sad
Because finally she is pain free
She's found her place in heaven
Underneath a blossom tree
She'll always be there to share our joy
And laugh at the jokes we make
In order to feel her presence
Only a little imagination it will take
She may be in the form of a butterfly
Or simply a floating feather
Or hovering over like a busy bee
Or simply part of the weather
You've all come here to say your farewell
But for me it's not goodbye
If I want to see her, all I have to do
Is look up to the sky
Sweet dreams, Love ya Ma

Way to many memories come flooding in. BIG family meals, trips to Grandma Stonehouse's, card games, listening to music on the record player (Snow on the Roses was our favorite),and many more. Thank you for being a part of our lives, you are thought of often. Rest in Peace.

Mom you are surely gonna be missed. I couldn't have asked for a better mother, friend and confidant you were my world. I'm gonna miss talking to you everyday on the phone.I remember weeding that big garden you had on the farm at Elkhorn and all the homemade baking you did for our lunches ,along with the soggy tomato sandwiches.
There are way to many memories to list but I will always have them to treasure along the way with your loving heart and my very favourite quote you use to say was "I'm not wiping off the kiss just the slober" I Love You to the moon and back. One day we will meet again .

Mardell was my stepmother for many years. One of most fondest memories was that we use to sit up for hours after everyone went to bed talking and drinking coffee every night that I was at home. She will be missed.
