Our memories of Jim are of a happy family man coupled with the wonderful memories of our drive through the Rockies as well as the pleasure of meeting together for our visit to Las Vegas, flying into the Grand Canyon and landing to take a boat ride down the Colorado River. A memory that we will treasure for ever.
.Our thoughts are with you Darlene and your family at this sad and difficult time.

Darlene and family, so sorry for your loss. The few conversations I had with Jim always included a laugh as I was trying to get his wife to come to work at Dinsdale. My sympathy to all of you.

I have so many great memories of Uncle Jim but the one that stands out is how welcoming he and Auntie Darlene were when I showed up at there door after a failed attempt to hitch hike to BC. I stayed there for at least a week and I felt so welcomed that I didn't want to leave. I'll never forget your kindness Uncle Jim. My condolences to Auntie Darlene , Jamey, Shelley and Tammy. I wish I could be there but know I'm thinking of you.

Remembering Uncle Jim. Funny, kind, liked to share his opinion and always stuck to his guns on issues. I can hear him now, his laugh and then "I don't think so" in our "conversations".
As a child he and Auntie Darlene were there for me when we lived in Brandon and I knew that at the house on the hill I could always find a hug.
I'm sorry I can't be there to give you all hugs in return now, but will be forever grateful I had a chance to give you hugs and say I love you this summer.
Losing Uncle Jim on my birthday will be a sweet reminder of him every year.
Love you all, my heart is with you,
Jackie

So sorry to hear of Jim's passing. My condolences to you, Darlene, and your family. We saw Jim quite often over the years at North American Lumber. We would have a chat and he would always ask how the kids were dong. He was such a kind, soft-spoken man. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

It's five in the morning and I have been sitting here remembering family times with Uncle Jim and Aunt Darlene. Many good, happy and loving memories. Tobogganing down their front hill, watching the fancy video record player (even before VHS) and eating mini pizzas! When I moved to Brandon to attend University Uncle Jim helped me a lot, with moving stuff and with my beautiful little VW beetle. I am sending big hugs to Aunty Darlene and to Shelley, Jamie, Tammy, partners and grandchildren.
