It´s a long time ago I see my uncle, sometimes this make me really sad special I heard about that uncle Hermann is gone. I remember we made a trip with my parents, Richard, aunt Elfriede with a Caravan through Canada...that was incredibly! Also i never forget his humor!
My heart goes out to my family in Canada.
In loving memory Volker

I'm so sad to lose my brother, but glad that I got to celebrate the 60th Wedding-Anniversary with Elfriede and Hermann, their family, my son and grandson last year.
I'll never forget his one of a kind sense of humor und him laughing also about himself.
Love always

Onkel Hermann took me on a trip to the Rockies when I was 17 and we got stuck in a loose shoulder in the middle of nowhere, heaven knows why (that was in the old days, when noone had a cellphone); but beeing with him, it felt like there was nothing on earth I needed to worry about. It still felt like that when I last saw him April 2014 and it seemed he'd be there forever to share his interest and his unique sense of humor.
Now Onkel Hermann has followed Tante Elfriede and all I can do is hope that knowing what difference they made helps their children and grandchildren through their grief.
In loving memory, Jan

Hermann always had a smile on his face that not only told you he was happy to see you, but that he had something peculiar and clever to add whenever he needed to answer you. His love of reading the daily paper always made me feel like he was watching you like the true father he was, wherever you competed or traveled as an athlete. Hermann will be missed by all and I know he will continue his daily "watch" over all of us. Rest in peace and my condolences and thoughts go to the entire family.
