Karen Kearney Andrews posted a condolence

Sincerest sympathy to all relatives of Joyce, from my mother, Mary Kearney, in Rainy River, and from her family members. We (the family of Norman and Mary) lived about two miles south of the Ezra Kearney family in Sleeman, until about the mid 1950's.
Our family connection is through Joyce's grandfather, John Charles, known as "Jack", who was one of the younger brothers of my grandfather, Edward Kearney. Their parents, John & Annie, were a couple of the earliest homesteaders in Sleeman; arriving in about 1885.
Though both families, Norman's and Ezra's, moved from that small village about 55 years ago, or more, there's always fond memories of the family ties, sporadic visits, musical talents, and good family relationships throughout those early Sleeman days.
Please accept our heartfelt condolences at this sad time; our thoughts are with you..
Karen (Kearney) Andrews

Joyce was a great neighbour & will be missed very much. She always said when your blind is up, I know your ok. So I know she will continue to do so. May you rest in peace.
