Sitting with Reg Forbes at the table in the dining room of Riverheights Terrace was always a most enjoyable occasion. His broad interests and sense of humour ensured a lively conversation and being the gentleman that he was, he even thanked you for your company at the end of the meal. He will be greatly missed. Condolences to the family, Joan Dillon.

Reg used to tell a story about his first year as an ag rep. He was out at an old farmer's place and was telling him about all the changes he should be making. The pld farmer listened for a while and then said, "well son, your schoolin's over but your education's just begun." Reg was always very generous with his knowledge and experience. There is now a big gap in ther culture of Brandon.

Reg was truly a great Brandonite. Whether it was agricultural or air-related, or just reminiscing about family connections, he was a treat to be around. Always pleasant and carrying nuggets of needed information. Condolences to Faye and Bob.

My connection with Reg goes back many years and I had the pleasure of interviewing him a few times on CKLQ.....most recently in connection with his work at the CATPM.
Even more recently my visits with him occurred monthly when our Celtic group played music at Riverheights Terrace. One of my band mates commented one day that he hoped he could remain as vibrant, current and positive when he became close to 90.
We play music there this Sunday and I shall miss that visit.
